Paul Bischoff, privacy advocate for Comparitech.com says: "The official Kodi distribution and devices that run it contain no sources of illegal content whatsoever. We understand, however, that many users use add-ons to modify Kodi and gain access to content without permission from the copyright holder, which is illegal in most countries. That being said, I fear that Kodi users and device makers across the board are being targeted whether they employ these infringing add-ons or not.
