Trevor Stewart releases ‘How We Built the Gambia Army’
SWANSEA, Wales – “How We Built the Gambia Army” (published by AuthorHouse UK) is author Trevor Stewart’s memoir about the dedication, hard work and guts of a small team put together to achieve what was believed to be unachievable because of financial shortages and governmental inefficiencies. This book also reveals Stewart’s devotion to raising money for charity events and organizations.
“Most people know or associate so much fraud and corruption with Africa,” Stewart says. “However, to have lived in the thick of it for more than three years, I have given you a true account of making a ‘silk purse’ out of a ‘sow’s ear,’ and achieving what was believed to be impossible.”
Stewart hopes readers will take away from his book the belief that they can achieve the impossible. “Belief is a state of mind,” he adds. “Some will always say, ‘Don’t be so stupid, that’s impossible,’ but who gets the egg on their face when you come away triumphant?”
