Acquisition kick starts ambitious growth plans
London: Independent IT security service provider SecureData, is delighted to announce the acquisition of UK based Quadrant Networks – the application delivery and security specialists. The acquisition further cements SecureData’s position as the largest independent security service provider in the UK.
The deal delivers strong synergies to both organisations, with complimentary market offers and expertise.
An acknowledged leader in the application delivery and data centre arena, Quadrant works with a number of the UK’s leading e-commerce and corporate clients. The acquisition bolsters SecureData’s offering and knowledge in the application delivery space and provides Quadrant’s customers with access to SecureData’s products and services.
SecureData offers a range of managed and cloud services focused on perimeter security, content security, managed security information and event management, intrusion detection and prevention, remote access and wireless security. Quadrant brings a wealth of experience in the application delivery, data centre security and Denial of Service areas. This expertise, together with SecureData’s track record of service delivery, will create a compelling proposition for the joint customer base, allowing customers to benefit from virtualisation and cloud computing securely. Customers are increasingly using a hybrid computing model with a mixture of their own data centres, service provider data centres and cloud services, so customers will benefit hugely from SecureData’s offering of a complete range of services either delivered on a customer’s site, in private cloud environments, or in a Security as a Service model.
Etienne Greeff, managing director, SecureData said “We are very excited to welcome Quadrant Networks; we believe that the combination of our two companies will offer our joint customers an unmatched range of products and services. Quadrant represents the ideal acquisition for SecureData with a strong, loyal customer base backed up by excellent people. “
“SecureData and Quadrant Networks both pride themselves on the quality and range of technology partners they have to offer customers and this will only be strengthened further with this acquisition” said Paul Risk, technical director, Quadrant Networks. He continued; “We are pleased to be the first company to get involved with SecureData’s ambitious growth plans. The partnership will make the future an exciting time for all.”
Peter Ledger, sales director, Quadrant Networks added “The combined strengths of SecureData and Quadrant Networks will enable us to offer a wider range of technologies to support our customers"
businesses. We both pride ourselves on providing an honest and consultative approach to the way we do business; these cultural similarities have given us the added confidence that this acquisition will be the start of great things.”
The acquisition follows a private-equity-backed management buyout (MBO) for SecureData in July this year, with the company now focused on creating a £50 million plus IT security service provider.
