A specialist mailbox manufacturer has made a pledge to enhance the security of UK properties through offering free samples of a product designed to limit crimes and nuisances caused via the letterbox.
A market leader in its field, The Safety Letterbox Company has developed a comprehensive range of over 130 mailboxes during its time in business. One such product is the Flaplock™ FL01, which was created in conjunction with a UK Arson Task Force team to eliminate the risk of arson attacks being started through letterboxes.
The company is now offering free Flaplock™ samples to public organisations to help increase awareness of its ability to effectively combat common risks in vulnerable areas caused via a traditional letterflap.
Since its introduction in 2008, the FlapLock™ has helped to secure thousands of properties. It has become a popular item integrated into both security and fire reviews undertaken by fire and rescue organisations, police forces and housing associations.
Alison Orrells, managing director of The Safety Letterbox Company, said: "We have total faith in this product's abilities to keep properties and people safe, which is why we are offering free samples of the FlapLock™ to those in vulnerable areas that will really benefit from it.
"The FlapLock™ has proved extremely popular in domestic homes, giving residents control as to whether mail is allowed to be posted or not. This means residents can stop any unwanted mail or even dangerous objects entering their home. Spam mail, litter and arson attacks are all eliminated with this lockable letterflap product through preventing access to the property."
The company has also created a variation of the FlapLock™ that is a heavy-duty type product more suited to commercial properties as a long-term solution, helping to protect businesses and their employees.
The Safety Letterbox Company provides hi-tech, bespoke and secure letterboxes throughout the UK and worldwide. Staff have worked on some of the most prestigious developments including prominent London residences and further afield, the famous Burj Khalifa in Dubai - the world's tallest building.
