Vigilance can report that a Sunderland director last week pleaded guilty to failing to provide information about the company and its operations to the SIA.
Susan Farrow was the director of STW Services Ltd based in Houghton-le-Spring, County Durham, supplying door supervisors to venues in Sunderland and Washington.
Vigilance learnt that when investigators from the Security Industry Authority initially requested information about the company in April 2011 she ignored them.
At Sunderland Magistrates’ Court on Friday [16 Dec], Farrow, 38, of Waller Terrace, Houghton-le-Spring, pleaded guilty to one offence of failing to provide information to the SIA. She was fined £150 and was ordered to pay £150 prosecution costs.
SIA Head of Investigation Nathan Salmon said: "Susan Farrow was given several opportunities to tell the SIA about her employees and customers. She chose to withhold this information and as a result is now unable to operate within the security industry.
A source at the Security Industry Authority said Farrow held a front line door supervision licence which expired in October 2011.
