Following the death of a man at the Dorchester Hotel in central London, a post-mortem examination held on Sunday, 3 May, at Westminster Public Mortuary was inconclusive, Vigilance can report.
It was learnt the coroner has ordered further toxicology tests, which may take around eight weeks, Vigilance has learnt.
The sudden death of the man, aged in his 40s, is being treated as unexplained. It is normal practice for a post-mortem examination to be conducted in such cases.
Police were called to the hotel at approximately 17:30hrs on Friday, 1 May, to reports of an unresponsive man in one of the rooms. London Ambulance Service also attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Next of kin have been informed. Formal identification has not taken place.
Officers from Westminster are investigating.
Two men, both of whom were known to the deceased, were arrested in connection with the incident. They have been bailed, pending further enquiries, to return to a central London police station on a date in June.
