SHARES in Crossword Cybersecurity Plc began trading yesterday at 8 a.m. on the GXG Main Quotte market, the European Stock Exchange for small and medium sized enterprises.
“There is a wealth of world class cyber security research being conducted in universities across Europe” said Ilube, Crossword’s CEO. “In the UK alone, we have identified 218 cyber security research projects that have received a total of over £150m in funding. We will identify the best concepts and work with universities to help commercialise their cutting edge cyber security research.”
Crossword is a technology commercialisation company focusing exclusively on the cyber security sector. The company works with research intensive European university partners to identify promising cyber security intellectual property (“IP”) from research that meets emerging, real-world challenges.
It was founded by Tom Ilube in April 2014 in partnership with Professor David Stupples, Director of the Centre for Cyber Security Sciences, City University, London and Dr David Secher, internationally renowned specialist in research commercialisation and Life Fellow of Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge.
