Stoke-On-Trent based data security firm Hedgehog Security has appointed Rob Weil as its new operations manager. The company's newest addition holds a degree in Psychology from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne University, where he specialised in hypnosis and artificial intelligence.
Bringing a wealth of experience to the table, from previous employers such as Intel, US Robotics and Kodak, Rob Weil aims to improve Hedgehog's service delivery model and help streamline its operations.
The newly appointed operations manager will focus on achieving ISO 9001 status and increasing the quality of services provided.
In addition to his international business exposure, Rob is also well versed in marketing and customer services training, having worked for UBS Phillips & Drew, and as a director of a Cambridge based publishing company.
Hedgehog Security specialises in penetration testing and the provision of virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) services. The company's core activities include assessing vulnerabilities in IT infrastructures and processes as well as social engineering and premises management.
In his new capacity, Rob will have to ensure that any work and testing done on site by the company exceeds customer expectations. Dealing face to face with customers and handling complaints are also key responsibilities.
"I've worked with a variety of IT and blue chip companies," outlined Rob. "This experience underpins my current role and I'm confident I'll play an integral part in winning and managing new accounts. That and probably doing the tea and coffee run as the newest member of the team," he joked.
On a personal level, Rob’s hobbies include composing digital music, travelling and indulging his penchant for drumming, which stems from his previous life as a drummer in a various bands.
