Gothenburg: Cryptzone has announced two key leadership appointments. Mark McCue joins as Senior Vice President, Global Sales and Kurt Glazemakers joins as Senior Vice President, Product Strategy. Both men have previously worked together as part of the successful team that led Terremark, prior to its sale to Verizon for $2bn in 2011.
Mark McCue - Senior Vice President, Global Sales
Mark McCue has had a distinguished career in IT and security sales spanning nearly 15 years. He leaves his role as Vice President, Cloud Services at Terremark to become Senior Vice President, Global Sales at Cryptzone. His first priority will be to expand the world-wide sales team and develop local channel and strategic alliance relationships.
Consistently a top performer, Mark has been involved in closing some of the largest Cloud deals world-wide. When Terremark launched the first public cloud platform, it was Mark who created a specialized team to support the US sales force in selling secure, enterprise class cloud computing to strategic customers. He is well qualified to spearhead sales of the next generation of Cryptzone IT security architecture.
Barry Field, lead partner for Medina Capital in the Cryptzone acquisition, reflects, “We wanted Mark to join the team not only for his enviable sales talent, but his extraordinary ability to influence product management, marketing and sales enablement, which will undoubtedly help increase Cryptzone’s win velocity.”
Kurt Glazemakers - Senior Vice President Product Strategy
Kurt Glazemakers was the independent technical expert within the Medina Capital investment team that exercised due diligence prior to the acquisition of Cryptzone, so he comes well informed about Cryptzone’s encryption and secure access technology platforms. He becomes Senior Vice President Product Strategy at Cryptzone, responsible for defining the strategy and roadmap of the next generation of Cryptzone IT security architecture focused on Encryption and Identity and Access Management (AIM).
Kurt is renowned for his extensive knowledge of software development, especially in the software defined network and storage area. During his role as CTO Europe within Terremark he was responsible for the development of Enterprise Cloud. He has undertaken a variety of other leading functions at an operational and strategic level, where his career has mainly focused on the development of innovative solutions that increase the availability, security and scalability of mission-critical infrastructures.
Håkan Saxmo, CTO at Cryptzone said: “Kurt brings a deep understanding of enterprise software architecture, which will be an invaluable source of knowledge when delivering our next generation of cyber-security software.”
Kurt will be sharing plans for Cryptzone’s suite of encryption and IAM solutions at an Open Day event to be held at Cryptzone’s Gothenburg offices this Wednesday, 4 June 2014, where he will also be available for interview.
