Last month SecuriGroup welcomed Mr Allan Burnett to its Board of Directors. Burnett had a distinguished career in the Scottish Police Service for over 30 years. After joining the police as a graduate entrant in 1979 and working on the beat in Maryhill, he retired as the Assistant Chief Constable in charge of co-ordinating Counter Terrorism for Scotland.
Throughout his career he has held a wide range of posts including periods as Deputy Divisional Commander of Glasgow City Centre Division, Director of Intelligence for Strathclyde Police, and Head of Operational policing for Fife Constabulary.
A graduate of the prestigious Police Senior Command Course at Bramshill in 2003, Mr Burnett was awarded the Queen’s Police Medal in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list of 2010.
Enthusing, Burnett recalls: “I have known the directors of SecuriGroup for a long number of years and I have always been impressed with their high standards and ambition. I look forward to being part of the future success of the organisation.”
