WARSAW: The 2nd International Forensic Technology Trade Fair CrimeLab will be held on 10-12 April 2013 at the MT Polska Trade Fair and Congress Centre in Warsaw. This is the only event in Europe dedicated to the forensics industry to present scientific achievements, modern technologies and research methods in that area.
The success of the first CrimeLab Fair, held last year, has confirmed the need to develop this specialist event. The Fair contributes towards standardising and drawing up norms applicable in forensic research, as is emphasised by representatives of circles connected with the process of crime detection and hunting down criminals.
The organiser, MT Targi, is addressing this event to manufacturers, distributors, consumers and scientists using the equipment, products and services employed in forensic technology. The CrimeLab Fair will present an offer of tools and apparatus used in investigating the scene of a crime, in documenting, registering, securing and presenting material evidence, and also in forensic laboratory investigations. IT systems supporting identification processes and material evidence management will also be available.
CrimeLab will enable scientific achievements, modern technologies and research methods applied in forensic technology to be presented. Above all, however, this event is an opportunity to establish business contacts and gain knowledge due to the extensive educational offer.
The Central Police Forensic Laboratory – Research Institute is the fair’s professional patron. The CPFL will host a scientific conference on “The scene of the crime”, which will present the research and development work currently being conducted in forensic technology and the standardisation of the forensic process. Workshops will be held as part of the conference, with international forensic technologist teams from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland taking part. This session will enable visitors to acquaint themselves with how the forensic technology service system and post-mortems are organised at the scene of a crime in those three countries.
The Honorary Patrons of the CrimeLab Fair are Ryszard Kalisz, Chairman of the Parliamentary Justice and Human Rights Commission, Konstanty Miodowicz, Chairman of the Parliamentary Secret Services Commission, Stefan Niesiołowski, Chairman of the Parliamentary National Defence Commission, and Jarosław Gowin, Minister of Justice.
The 15th International Trade Fair of Analytical, Measurement and Control Technology EuroLab, which is addressed to the laboratory industry and is the biggest event of its kind in Poland, will be held at the same time. During this fair, exhibitors will present their offers in four sectors: chemical analysis, life science, biotechnology, and metrology. The event will be attended by representatives of research institutes, distinguished experts and scientists, universities, certifying institutions and by producers and distributors from the laboratory industry.
